My Recently Procured iPod Touch

Since purchasing my 16GB iPod Touch in the ultimate deal of the century, the way I communicate and use the internet has been extended.  No longer am I bound by to my workstation tower and chair in the home office, or limited to having to wait until I go home or trudge through the clunky Motorola Razor keypad in order to send someone a message, or using paper to plan out my day, or carry a stack of photographs and a 1GB stick of music.

This iPod Touch does it all: I'm entertained with Tetris, I stay in touch using the Facebook App, plan my day with the calendar and notes, rock out for hours with my 10GB worth of music, studying God's word with podcast subscriptions to Pastor Greg Laurie and refugefm.com.  I can even do my P90X workouts on the go at the gym - yup, I got Tony Horton at 480x320 screen resolution.  Sophia and I even spend time together snuggling up close watching Elmo, Dora, Blue's Clues, and Little Einsteins on YouTube.

Showcasing pictures of Sophia gets the "WOW" response - especially when I showed my Dad for the first time the "zoom" and "browse" feature using finger gestures, he couldn't stop giggling.  Flicking the screen and watching the pictures animate in and out with gravity appearing to influence their movement is just too cool.

Even the calculator joke about a girl who's 16 and 35007 - that I will never forget from my classmate in college during multi-variable calculus works great on the "calculator".  I can buy music and get driving directions (assuming there's an open WiFi connection nearby) AHH-Mazing.  Truly a revolutionary piece of electronics.  Did I mention that when there's no WiFi available it works great as a paper weight?
